BIG
WIN FOR THE US...
Yesterdays
2-0 win over Brazil, as difficult as it was, made it
possible for our team to advance into the quarterfinal
game, no matter what the outcome of our game against
Australia is.
Of
course, our objective every time is to win the game
with an exclamation point! We want teams to go
away from our matches thinking about how difficult it
is to score on us (Brazil found that out, even though
they dominated the entire first half), how hard we are
(Brazil found this out in the second half) and lastly,
that we will never succumb to the pressure of the game.
For
those of us who didn't get into the game, it is our
responsibility to be mentally strong (focusing during
the games), get a workout in after the match is over
(so we stay on the same rhythm as the team) and to be
ready whenever called upon. OH, and most importantly,
to cheer our teammates on in a way that lifts their
spirits and lets them know that they are supported.
We cannot win a gold medal without each player contributing,
even in the most modest way.
So,
back into the Critical 24 Hour Period. Australia here
we come, and we are not interested in slowing down!!!
GO
USA
